Today’s kanji is 花火, which is read as hanabi (ha-nah-bee). 花火 means fireworks.
花 is the kanji for flower. 火 represents fire (notice the flame sparks?).
Combine the two symbols together and you get “flower fire.”
The Fourth of July is, after all, right around the corner.
